Electronic Receipts for Offline Gifts - were they sent?

If I'm sending email receipts for offline gifts, there's no way to tell whether a receipt was actually sent - like the Sent Items folder in an email client. This isn't stored anywhere in RE.  There's no SQL table I can query.  Raiser's Edge doesn't have an actual mailbox on the Exchange server I can check.



There needs to be some way to determine whether an electronic receipt was actually transmitted - not just that RE tried to transmit it, but that it was successful.  Even something as simple as letting us BCC ourselves when emailing receipts so that we'll have real evidence that nothing went wrong and the receipt was sent to the donor's address (whether the donor's address works is a different question).




This is a feature I think Raiser's Edge needs.
