The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is hiring a Manager of Philanthropy Operations & Donor Services.



The Manager, Philanthropy Operations and Donor Services is responsible for database management and administration, donor records, data quality and integrity, prospect pipelines, data analysis, donor communications, training and other donor support functions utilizing Raiser’s Edge, Luminate, Excel and other tools to assist the Mission Advancement team in maximizing fundraising effectiveness. This position also supports staff with the use of Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando databases, participates in donor cultivation, implements donor recognition programs and is responsible for stewardship efforts designed to increase the active engagement of constituents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as lead contact and database administrator for Raiser’s Edge, collaborating with team members, IT, Finance, and other Pet Alliance staff to optimize database configuration, queries, data policies and reporting to meet the needs of end users and optimize database performance.
  • Utilizing knowledge of multiple funding streams, conducts financial analysis and creates accurate standard and ad-hoc report.
  • Oversees gift processing and donor records including maintenance, quality assurance, tracking and donor communications.
  • Collaborates with fundraising team to track and report on fundraising progress and donor trend.
  • Ensures data quality of donor records, lists and reports to accurately report on and track progress.
  • Collaborates with vendors and keeps abreast of new database features and trends to maximize database optimization and performance.
  • Lead a cross-departmental data integration discussions relating to the impact of changes on various users, standardization of data entry and development of reports and data exports to meet the needs of the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
  • Provide support and training in use of the application, including orientation for all new staff and specialized training in response to changing roles, business processes and database functionality.
  • Assists with tracking Employee Inventive fundraising challenges.

Reporting:

  • Participate in the reporting team that is responsible for the creation, documentation and support of the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando standardized reports.
  • Develop and maintain reports using Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online available reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain queries and reports for organization events and projects.
  • Manage Human Rewards Program
  • Provide on-site support at Pet Alliance Signature Events
  • Works with 3rd party companies/vendors on direct mail and manages all aspects through to completion.
  • Perform any other duties as needed to meet the needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) or more years of Raiser’s Edge database administration, including prospect and constituent management, data import/export, developing standard and custom reports and optimizing performance
  • 2 to 4 years of experience designing, developing and generating reports from a relational database application. Database design, deployment and management experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated successful performance in general office management
  • Demonstrated experience working with community groups and volunteers
  • Highly computer literate in word processing, report writing and database management
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills with end users and other team members to assess needs and provide support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Highly motivated toward the welfare and humane treatment of animals
  • Solid understanding of the principles of database management and business process workflow.
  • Expert use of Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online and Microsoft Office Professional 2007 with advanced skills in Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to accomplish responsibilities, goals and projects.
  • Organize work to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems is highly desirable.
  • Reliable transportation and access by phone are required
  • Highly motivated to cultivate donors and increase fundraising
  • Agreement to support Pet Alliance’s policies and procedures
