Fund Number instead of Fund Name in Gift Detail and Summary Report

Hi!  I recently ran the Gift Detail and Summary Report for our accounting department.  As you know, it's actually two reports, one grouped by fund ID (Summary) and the Gift Detail lists the individual and organizational names with fund names.  Am I able to change the fund names to the fund id's on that report?



Is that an administrator level change in Raiser's Edge or is it not possible?

  • It's a user option. Go to Tools- User Options, select the Records Tab, then "Funds". There's a drop-down for Fund Format. Just select "Description" and you should be good to go!
  • And if you change the user option the fund ID will be how you view funds in every part of your RE, not just in the reports. So if you need to view reports by either fund ID or description you will have to change your user options when you run the report. The user options are specific to you only. Each user at your organization can choose their own options.
  • This particular report will let you choose which to see without having to change your user options which would also change a LOT of things, including Exports (which can break custom reports that may need ID or Description specifically).



    On the Columns tab of the Re[ort setup you can choose from the Available Fields and add or replace Fund ID and/or Fund Description.  Note that you can choose that depending on what you've selected on the General tab (Report Type = Detail, Summary or Both) your options on the Columns tab will change.  Using the Report View drop-down you can customize Detail and each of the 4 Summary options.
