The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) is seeking an experienced, permanent, 3-4 days per week Online Fundraising Specialist to join their team.

We’re looking for a stellar Online Fundraising Specialist to join a dynamic team where you will have a voice in shaping the future of one of Vancouver’s largest, most respected social service agencies. This is a unique opportunity to use your web savvy and fundraising skills to make a lasting impact within our organization. You’ll play a key role in managing our Virtual Food Drive website and email communications, creating customizable online donor experiences, and promoting online fundraising. You will be responsible for ensuring that our Virtual Food Drive website is updated, easy to navigate, and addresses the needs of our audiences. And you will be a part of building up an already vibrant online donor community.

You are proud of your ability to create a web presence that inspires action. Your proficiency in content management and online fundraising allows you to move beyond the basics to create webpages, email campaigns, and social media messages that tell stories and drive results.

We are looking for a positive, solutions-oriented team player to help us reach our fundraising goals and create online enthusiasm for the work of the GVFB.

MAIN DUTIES
  • Managing Luminate Online & security categories
  • Develop & manage email campaigns, forms, and other web projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Craft the online donor experience to reflect our mission and accomplish our fundraising goals, building online donor recruitment, recognition & stewardship
  • Managing Teamraiser events & configuration – particularly the Virtual Food Drive, working to optimize the Luminate tools to raise funds for the Food Bank
  • Create targeted strategies using segmentation and based on user interest
  • Support integration of our online constituent and donor databases (Raiser’s Edge)
  • Monitor website analytics and email marketing performance, and lead improvements in processes and products in response to data
  • Assist in coordinating the internal production of marketing materials in collaboration with staff across the agency
  • Provide email marketing support and training to internal teams
  • Stay current on industry tools and trends including social media; continually learn and implement new technical skills to improve the agency’s web presence and fundraising success
QUALIFICATIONS/KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Understanding of online fundraising, e-Newsletter, and content management best practices.
  • Experience with content management and donor relationship management systems. Proficiency in Luminate Online and/or Raiser’s Edge is a substantial plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing or fundraising. Experience in a nonprofit organization is a substantial plus.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the role of social media in fundraising and its execution
  • Must be able to exercise decisiveness and good judgment in situations requiring the evaluation of information to reach creative solutions.
  • Digital fluency and media savvy with technologies and distribution points like outbound email, social, websites, SEO and SEM
  • Knowledge of other web development and digital marketing tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization, website analytics, and campaign performance tracking
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn other software programs as needed
  • Strong project coordination skills, including ability to work proactively and efficiently, set priorities, and meet overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and donor relations skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Function as an integral member of the overall team, and provide not only leadership and strategy, but also recommendations and support as appropriate
  • Willingness to learn and grow as strategies and technologies evolve
