We’re looking for a stellar Webmaster/Online Relationship Steward to join a dynamic team where you will have a voice in shaping the future of one of San Diego’s largest, most respected social service agencies. This is a unique opportunity to use your web skills to make a lasting impact within our organization. You’ll play a key role in upgrading our website and email communications, creating customizable online user experiences, and promoting our events and volunteer recruitment. You will be responsible for ensuring that our website is updated, easy to navigate, and addresses the needs of our audiences. And you will be a part of an exciting web redesign in our near future.

We are looking for a positive, solutions-oriented team player to successfully deliver marketing, fundraising, and production services across the agency and help us reach our goals.

Specific duties include:

  • Assume a sense of ownership over the Jewish Family Service website, making daily updates and leading interdepartmental efforts to improve key areas of the site
  • Develop email campaigns, microsites, forms, and other web projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Craft the online donor experience to reflect our mission and accomplish our fundraising goals
  • Create targeted strategies using segmentation and based on user interest
  • Support integration of our online constituent and donor databases
  • Monitor website analytics and email marketing performance, and lead improvements in processes and products in response to data
  • Assist in coordinating the internal production of marketing materials in collaboration with staff across the agency
  • Provide marketing support and training to internal teams
  • Stay current on industry tools and trends; continually learn and implement new technical skills to improve the agency’s web presence and fundraising success

Position Requirements

  • Understanding of online fundraising, eNewsletter, and content management best practices.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or fundraising. Experience in a nonprofit organization is a substantial plus.
  • Experience with content management and customer relationship management systems. Proficiency in WordPress, Luminate Online and/or Raiser’s Edge is a substantial plus.
  • Knowledge of other web development and digital marketing tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization, website analytics, and campaign performance tracking
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn other software programs as needed
  • Strong project coordination skills, including ability to work proactively and efficiently, set priorities, and meet overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
