Gift Processor and Database Coordinator

The LSU Health Foundation in New Orleans is seeking a Gift Processor and Database Coordinator to assist the Database Administrator with all aspects of donor gift entry, gift acknowledgement, and Raiser’s Edge Database Management. This position will serve as a member of the development team and is expected to contribute to the achievement of the fundraising objectives set forth by the Foundation. This position reports to the Database Administrator.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Raiser’s Edge gift entry and processing, ensuring that cash and credit card gifts, stock donations, event registrations, memberships, pledge and online NetCommunity donations are accurately recorded in the Raiser’s Edge database.
• Execute weekly mail merges to generate donor acknowledgements and receipts.
• Serve as a liaison between Development and Finance to ensure reconciliation between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge.
• Perform adjustment transactions, corrections and write-offs.
• Promptly address donor inquiries regarding pledge payments and receipting issues.
• Create and implement various database queries in response to requests for information providing timely and accurate records, reports and lists.
• Ensure data entry for constituent records, including contact information, relationship information and processing returned mail.
• Support Development staff on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database preferred, or experience with a similar database application.
• Proven organization skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with the public in a professional, courteous manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Development and Finance team on joint projects. Efficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
