GENERAL DESCRIPTION:         Administer the data entry and maintain the integrity of the Mercy Housing Philanthropy database for gift processing. Generate timely, accurate donor acknowledgements and resource development reports. Provide support to the Philanthropy Division as requested.

 

I.     QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, marketing, communications, non-profit management, or related field strongly preferred.

                      

Experience:   Minimum of two (2) years in gift processing and data collection and extraction preferred.  Understanding of IRS regulations relevant to non-profit organizations and industry standards for gift acceptance and reporting preferred.

                      

Abilities:       

 
  1. Experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising database or a similar sales/CRM and systems.
  2. Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems in regards to data entry processes and the database.
  3. Proven success in the creation and implementation of new organizational and/or database processes.
  4. Strong attention to detail and desire for data accuracy and integrity. Excellent discretion with confidential information.
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize work by tracking and meet deadlines effectively.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people through both written and verbal communication.
  7. Flexible, accurate, and responsive to staff inquiries/requests. Understand and implement directives from senior management and others.
  8. Treat a variety of people with respect and compassion.
  9. Represent Mercy Housing in a professional manner at all times.
  10. Understand and support the mission and values of Mercy Housing.



II.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 
  1. TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL
 

 
  1. Enter Mercy Housing gift and donor information into Raiser’s Edge database in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
 

 
  1. Process, track and record event registrations, gifts, grants and pledges.
 

 
  1. Process donor fulfillment packages as directed such as gift acknowledgements, new donor packets, tribute cards, pledge statements and reminders, etc.
 

 
  1. Support Director of Database Management and Donor Relations in creating queries and producing scheduled reports in Raiser’s Edge.
 

 
  1. Participate in developing documentation for database policies, procedures, processes and business rules.
 

 
  1. Update Raiser’s Edge Wiki as needed.
 

 
  1. Provide general administrative support for Philanthropy Department activities and projects as directed.
 

 
  1. Provide excellent customer services to donors and staff; provide research on gift records and maintenance of donor information as needed.
 

 
  1. Work with Director to provide accounting staff with information as needed for monthly close of business and reconciliation of Raisers Edge with accounting data base.
