The Senior Data Analyst works with stakeholders and development officers to interpret requirements into finalized reports. This position must design, modify, maintain and document prebuilt, on-demand and ad-hoc reports following industry and CRM best practices. This position will assist is setting reporting standards for VCU and recommending future reporting opportunities in the Blackbaud CRM.

This position will partner with other business units for the development ofCRM functionality to include metrics, segmentation and other reporting solutions with the goal of maximizing constituent lifetime value, engagement, and affinity for the organization. This position will develop reporting that is efficient and consistent through various delivery mechanisms as well as maintaining a reporting standard across all VCUunits. This position will work with the other IT Teams to plan and coordinate the management and addition of data points and values necessary for the development of CRM reporting.

This position will have a responsibility for establishing and maintaining a culture of data-driven fundraising and marketing practices.

Duties:

- Works with business units in planning and developing custom reports in Blackbaud CRM. This entails SSRS reporting with built-in CRM reporting tools.

- Develops the narrative to accompany analytics reports; assist leadership and staff in interpreting analysis of data.

- Leads internal teams in following and configuring CRM reporting best practices.

- Develops dashboards for key fundraising and marketing leadership in support of monitoring key performance indicators and campaign tracking. Conduct follow-up analysis to explore variances.

- Must be able to develop measures to monitor donor experience with interactions from all channels.

- Works with colleagues in other departments to develop and document tracking information to understand record source for mailings and other lists reflecting interests, memberships and participation in events.

- Develop and use custom reports to evaluate donor trends. Identify areas needing more focus and make strategic recommendations to improve donor file health and performance.

- Reviews industry publications and research on a regular basis, and incorporate broader industry metrics and trends into analysis, assessments and recommendations.
