Friends Committee on National Legislation, the oldest registered religious lobby in the United States, is seeking an experienced director who will design and implement a comprehensive annual fund program to support the organization’s non-partisan, multi-issue advocacy that connects historic Quaker testimonies on peace, equality, simplicity, and truth with peace and social justice issues.   Today, FCNL’s network of 60,000 advocates and 12,000 donors includes people from many different faiths and backgrounds.  Headquartered on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, FCNL is governed by a General Committee of 190 people from across the country and employs a staff of 40.

Reporting to the Associate Executive Secretary for Development, the Annual Fund Director will lead the planning and implementation of FCNL’s $3 million Annual Fund with the goal of growing the Annual Fund and donor base.  We are seeking a director who will bring a fresh outlook and new ideas to the table, particularly in the areas of major gifts, new donor acquisition, giving by Quaker meetings and churches, and donor retention.  The director must be a good manager and administrator, who can use data to inform decisions and actions and measure progress.  The Annual Fund Director will also be encouraged to expand FCNL’s fundraising footprint by exploring new platforms to help build the strength of our multi-channel fundraising program.

Minimum of five years annual fund experience at the professional level in a non-profit organization is required.  Visit fcnl.org/about/jobs/annual_fund_director/ for a complete job description and send resume and cover letter to jobs@fcnl.org.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  FCNL seeks to create a diverse workplace. FCNL is actively soliciting applicants from all ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds.
