This is a hands-on technical positon managing and supporting Boston Medical Center’s fundraising operation. Primarily responsible for assisting in the management of development operations functions and managing the Raiser’s Edge database and NetCommunity content management systems. Ensures completion of tasks necessary for regular compilation and analysis of internal metrics and performance based dashboard reporting. Manage components of internal applications and provide support in Development’s expansion of systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

 Comprehensive management of the Raiser’s Edge donor database.

 Manage the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of Raiser’s Edge constituent database management system.

 Create, document, and implement business processes and policies that maximize the efficiency of fundraising operations.

 Coordinate training program for development staff on current and new applications of Raiser’s Edge, and create and implement training for new staff members.

 Run data queries and exports; develop and produce reports in Excel for analysis, including dashboard reports and internal metrics. Create Crystal Reports for internal and external reporting.

 Prepare mailing lists based on established criteria and donor lists for email and USPS mailings.

 Implement and maintain data entry controls and audits to ensure data integrity.

 Manage Blackbaud NetCommunity content management system.

 Provide ongoing technical support for Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and NetCommunity. Act as liaison between Blackbaud and BMC IT department to ensure system integrity, troubleshoot technical issues and manage upgrades.

 Provide technical support to development office staff in areas of fundraising software (Raiser’s Edge, NetCommunity, Greater Giving/Auction Pay). Provide minor support in areas of MS office and general user problems.

 Assess system requirements and provide system and technical support for variety of events.

 Occasional evening and weekend hours required in support of fundraising events.



EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience) required.



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

 Extensive experience and proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge data management system, SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft Windows, MS Office (Word and Excel), and MS Outlook required.

 Familiarity with Blackbaud NetCommunity, ImportOMatic or similar content management system. HTML, Dreamweaver and Photoshop experience is a plus.

 Exceptional organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

 Excellent attention to detail

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

 Provide timely response to requests for information, service and assistance

 Ability to handle confidential and delicate information.

 Ability to work with numerous internal clients and handle a multitude of tasks.

 Excellent oral and written communications skills.
