Consolidated Ereceipt

Options
Good Afternoon,

Our organization is looking to utilize the ereceipt function. I see that there is a field titled "Gift: YTD Amount". I am thinking we can use that field to calculate the consolidated amount and send a consolidated ereceipt. Has anyone had any luck configuring for consolidated ereceipts? Does anyone have experience using the "Gift: YTD Amount" field? Thanks so much!

We're also looking at ereceipts so will be interested in responses.  The only time I can see using the YTD amount would be if doing one receipt at year end.  Don't know if it is YTD for all gifts or only YTD for gifts not yet receipted.  If all, gifts you could end up with a receipting mess.  We have used the consolidated receipts (on Bio 2 tab) for hard copy receipts - don't know how that works in ereceipts.  It should work.  I'd use that function before YTD as it may pull in more than you want.

The thing we did find with records marked consolidated receipts you don't get a merge doc if you are using a conditional merge receipt in Mail.  Gift records become marked as receipted but word doc does not generate.  Doc file goes from receipt 23 to 25 if record 24 was marked for consolidated receipts.  Only happens when doing conditional merge.  Would love to see it fixed in RE but don't figure it will be as there are so many bigger issues.
