Role Summary

 

The Manager, Database Reporting is an integral member of the Development Database team responsible for the execution of reports and analytics that drive the activity and track the progress of the Development division against its goals.

 





Essential Duties Include:




  • Create, maintain, and execute queries, exports, and reports that track divisional progress and support our evolving analytics program, including:
    • Pipeline and moves management reports
    • Audit reports to ensure data integrity
    • Donor metrics, including acquisition and renewal rates
    • Divisional activity metrics, including ask and close rates
  • Design and build custom reports, working closely with the database manager and report stakeholders
  • Proactively advise how best to use the database to provide accurate information to support Development strategies. Recommend and produce analyses of trends in donors, gifts, and key performance indicators
  • Serve as the point person for list management for mailings, e-communications, and events.
  • Identify and address operational challenges, recognize opportunities for increased efficiency through templates and automation; and participate in short-term projects to help enhance system usage and data integrity.
  • Provide backup to donor gift processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 





Qualifications:




Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or combination of education and experience

 

Required Skills:

  • Five plus years of related work experience in database management, reporting, and analysis; experience in a non-profit/development/fundraising setting is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Crystal Reports required.
  • Experience with Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge database is a plus.
  • Must be a problem solver with good judgment and excellent organizational skills who can multi-task, deliver on short and long deadlines, and prioritize work in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral), including ability to interface with database end users. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential, along with ability to analyze and condense information and present it in a priority order.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, show demonstrated job flexibility, and be customer-service oriented.
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative, and results-oriented with a sense of humor and perspective.
