Position Title:
Development Coordinator/Raiser's Edge Specialist

Reports to:  Vice President of Development

 

The Development Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for the Museum’s donor database using the Raiser’s Edge System (RE) and will facilitate communication between the development department and the Museum’s donors.  This position offers a competitive salary, good benefits, and a positive work environment.

 

Primary Job Functions:

 

-              Prepare donor/prospect report for constituents including:  CEO, VP of Development, VP of Finance and Operations and    lay leadership.

-              Data mining, queries, constituent coding.

-              Create process for documenting donor engagement in RE using action items, notes and connecting donors to solicitors.

-              Prepare pledge reminders and balance updates.

                Identify direct mail opportunities and outreach to one time donors or lapsed members.

-              Conduct prospect research through Google, IWave and others.

-              Point of contact for Humanitarian Awards Dinner Reservations, seating and daily revenue updates.

-              Prepare donor recognition updates to Major Donor Wall and additional donor plaques.

-              Track membership benefits and attend membership related events.

-              Manage planned giving documentation and paperwork associated with Legacy Campaign.

-              Phone and overall development office support.

 

Required Qualifications

Candidate should possess all of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Three to five years previous work experience using Raiser’s Edge
  • Excellent understanding of donor relations and ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Self-starter with excellent organization skills.
  • Exceptional written & oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Communications or public relations experience a plus.
