Membership Manager April 09, 2015 - April 30, 2015 Location: Concord, NH Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Employment Type: Full Time Department: Development Description: The Membership Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospects. He or she develops and implements donor acquisition, engagement and stewardship plans; works with staff to identify needs and giving opportunities; develops and implements tactics for direct mail and telemarketing; and participates in program planning and coordination of special events. This position reports to the Vice President, Development and Communications. Duties: - Assist with the development and implementation of annual Membership strategy and operating plan: revenue, donor acquisition and retention, stewardship, moves management, and sustainer conversion. - Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward the portfolio of mid-level donors. - Oversee direct mail and telemarketing fundraising programs. - Work with Vice President, Development and Communications and Member Services Associate to achieve annual Membership revenue goal. - Develop, monitor, and report on detailed annual revenue and expense budget. - Ensure that each fundraising program and process is effective and efficient, achieving benchmarks. - Develop customer service guidelines and goals and ensure their adherence. - Ensure that the highest ethical and administrative standards are applied to fundraising and financial management. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Minimum of three years of fundraising experience. - Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and deep knowledge of fundraising practices and ethics. - Strong verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to express self clearly and persuasively. - Demonstrated ability to think strategically. - Strong computer skills and proficiency with donor databases and software. Experience using Raiser’s Edge preferred. - Experience utilizing social media tools to promote giving. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. NHPR is an equal opportunity employer.
