Development Operations Officer - Birmingham Museum of Art

The Development Operations Officer position is an exempt position with benefits. It holds the primary responsibility for the following functional areas: gift/data processing and acknowledgment, prospect identification/research, stewardship, database administration/reporting, online services and fiscal administration for Development Department.

The mission of the Birmingham Museum of Art (BMA) is to provide an unparalleled cultural and educational experience to a diverse community by collecting, presenting, interpreting and preserving works of art of the highest quality. Founded in 1951, the Birmingham Museum of Art is now the largest and most comprehensive municipal art museum in the Southeast and the largest visual arts institution in the state of Alabama with a membership of more than 4,000 households and 140,000 visitors per year. The BMA is seeking a Development Officer with demonstrated skills and initiative to support the Development department secure the necessary funds for the BMA to carry out its mission.
