Thrive Networks is seeking to fill a part-time Development Associate position with a qualified and motivated candidate. The key responsibilities of the Associate will involve database maintenance, gift entry, and prospect research. This role requires a high comfort level with computers and data, as well as an ability to learn procedures. The Development Associate will play an integral role in the fundraising operations of Thrive Networks.

Job Duties
  • Create and generate various reports and lists as needed
  • Update and maintain accurate donor and gift information in CRM database
  • Assist with monthly finance reconciliation procedures
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters and other donor correspondence
  • Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files
  • Run regular database maintenance to clean up records
  • Conduct research on prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors
  • Coordinate the production and mailing of appeal letters
  • Produce and manage specialized mailing lists when requested by the development team
  • Maintain guest lists, gathering and preparing registration materials and other duties as assigned for fundraising events
  • Other duties as assigned by the Development Operations Manager

Desired Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Technological proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Donor database experience (Raiser’s Edge preferred, Salesforce or other CRMs also relevant)
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to develop systems and processes
  • Acute attention to detail and a meticulous work ethic
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently
 

The position is part-time and based in our Oakland, CA headquarters. The expected weekly commitment of 18 hours can be accommodated to your schedule. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
