  Position: Development Diva/Associate Department: Strategic Advancement Supervisor: Development Director Hours: Full-Time  
  General Description:  Works as an integral member of the team supporting the functions of fund development including analysis and processing of gift batches in Raiser's Edge, individualized acknowledgement letters, posting control reports and batch reports in accordance with Development’s 48-hour turnaround policy; data analysis, maintaining data integrity and adding new data to the database.  
Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to - §  Maintain/perform record and data cleanup/updates in databases as needed. §  Process donations in a timely and accurate fashion to adhere to the Department’s 48-hour turnaround acknowledgment policy. §  Analyze gifts to determine appropriate campaigns, funds appeals for each gift to be processed §  Select appropriate individualized acknowledgement letters for all gifts based on above criteria and the source of the gift in a timely and accurate fashion. §  Perform donor and prospect research on individuals, corporations and foundations. §  Organize and maintain development records, office files and other materials. §  Due to the nature of the work in the development department, flexibility with scheduling may be required (with advanced notice); work late, work on an event (which may include late evenings or a weekend), or do some light travel.  §  Maintain mailing list and create reports/lists for donor communications, events, appeals, campaigns. §  Add new constituent records to the database as needed, analyze information and populate all appropriate data fields where information is available. §  Organize, coordinate and maintain the integrity of hardcopy filing system. §  Produce various reports pertaining to the gift entry process, including departmental "Gift Validation," and "Cash Receipts" reports. Assist in balancing monthly with the Finance Department. ·         Provide office support as needed. ·         Perform related duties as assigned. ·         Working with board members and volunteers in performing certain duties to assist in fundraising ·         Coordinating preparation of the Clinic’s annual report ·         Working with Development staff in planning and implementing fundraising and public relations activities  
Candidate Profile:
Any combination equivalent to:  some college and three years experience in general office environment involving considerable computer work.  Knowledge and experience in fund development preferred. Working knowledge of database software required; Raiser’s Edge fundraising software, a plus. Exceptional oral and written communications skills, organizational skills and detail oriented. Able to prioritize data entry projects and review work for accuracy; completing tasks in a timely manner.  Comfortable working on multiple tasks with interruptions in an active team environment. Works well under pressure with periodic heavy workloads. Self-starter and self-motivated
