Automatic updates

Hi there,



I was wondering if anyone carries out any automatic field updates in the Raiser's Edge and if so how?  We have a couple of situations where we would like one field to update automatically based on the recording of another field. 



The first update we'd like to set up is that the Prospect Status be updated to show the current moves management stage recorded in actions.  At present users have to record the information in two locations which has inevitably led to inconsistencies.



The second is we'd like to update the address Region based on the postcode.  I'd have assumed this would be built in RE fuctionality, but I haven't been able to find a way of doing it.



When working on other CRM systems in the past I've set up nightly SQL updates to carry out similar tasks.  Does anyone do this in RE?  If not, is there a more eligant solution?
