Responsibilities:

Incumbents in this classification design and conduct quantitative and qualitative research projects, consulting with colleagues in prospect identification and engagement strategies. Incumbents work closely with major gift officers to ensure that they are executing on the most value-added activities, prospects are receiving the attention they need, and Gladstone’s fundraising goals have a high probability of being achieved. Incumbents provide support and analysis; research specific fundraising issues, analyzing data when needed; and design/execute on projects using a variety of data mining, statistical analysis, peer benchmarking, or other assessment techniques.



Qualifications:

•    Four years of experience in collecting, scheduling, processing, and reporting information in a data processing environment.

•    Experience in conducting prospect research in a nonprofit fundraising environment, particularly for an academic institution.

•    Strong organizational skills.

•    Ability to work independently while juggling multiple projects and deadlines.

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•    Strong time management skills.

•    Ability to prepare and present information in various report formats.

•    Strong knowledge of Excel and relational databases.

•    Experience building queries.
