Multiple receipts for Org contacts

Hi All,



I have an organization that has requested copies of the recipt and acknowledgement letter be sent to multile organization contacts.  As far as I can tell, there is not a way to send multiple receipts via RE, Mail-Receipts.



What is a good way to handle this situation?  For now, I have put an automatic annotation on the org record to remind me to send copies when they make a gift.



Any advice is appreciated.

    I personally don't like the idea of multiple receipts for the same gift.  If I had to do it I would probably include more gift details than we do in our standard receipts such as check # and account name.  (That would be to protect my org from possible fraud by multiple donors claiming the donation on taxes.)  To do copies of an actual receipt I think I'd consider using "CC" and list those it's going to. On the org tab of Mail functions you can choose what contacts to use for the mailing.  Have you looked at that option?  I haven't used that option for that purpose but it should work.



    Do they need multiple receipts or just multiple acknowledgements of the gift?  If acknowledgement will do, you could soft credit and run a copy for each SC record or for each contact by changing options on Org tab..  I think that would be the easiest way to get multiple letters anyway.



    You may even want to talk to your tax advisor/auditor about running multiple receipts.  I would before I issued multiples.  Just doesn't sound like a good practice.  When we issue a copy we insert "copy" into the document.
