POSITION SUMMARY:

The Philanthropic Services Assistant is responsible for data entry and maintenance primarily in the Raiser's Edge database for gift recording, maintaining data integrity and supporting effective office systems. The position processes gifts and generates acknowledgement letters regularly. It also requires managing all routine data updates and imports. Activities related to this position will support fundraising goals for the philanthropic needs of Craig Hospital Foundation.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for gift entry, acknowledgements and data updates in the Raiser's Edge database ensuring accuracy to meet reconciliation needs.

Responsible for biographical updates to records as well as recording and tracking appeal codes and attributes as needed by the Foundation.

Serve as main contact for implementation and technical support of ImportOmatic.

Follow-up with donors to clarify gift restrictions, tributes, matching gifts, etc.

Work with a variety of donation platforms to record gifts in Raiser's Edge such as systems for online donations or third party fundraising efforts.

Provide back-up support for generating reports and queries as requested by staff

Provide back-up support to the Foundation reception desk as requested.

Import new alumni records into Raiser's Edge on a monthly basis using ImportOmatic

Assist the Development Services Supervisor with all functionality in utilizing the Raiser's Edge database.

Assist the Development Services Supervisor with processes and procedures for all data entry, data importing, data exporting, data clean-up and other tasks as needed.

Participate in planning and other departmental meetings of the Foundation

Assist other staff members as requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registrations - None

Education - High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Relavant Field preferred.

Experience - Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative role required. Minimum of 2 years in a fundraising office using Raiser's Edge. Database and gift processing experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities - Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in routine work. Work independently and problem solve as required. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Work independently. Ability to deal with diverse and confidential information with discretion and good judgment. Work with numbers in preparation and completion of statistical and financial reports. High level of typing accuracy and speed. Proficient in Internet research/ navigation and Microsoft Office suite. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
