 EIF creates national initiatives and events that address critical social issues to, inform, inspire and raise significant funds for sustainable programs that stimulate innovation and transform lives.  EIF also responds to urgent needs precipitated by natural disasters and national or international tragedies.  EIF focuses on six critical areas:  health, education, poverty/hunger, service/volunteerism, veterans and the environment. Significant national programs created by EIF include Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), iParticipate, and Hope for Haiti Now, among many others.

 

The Position:        Database Administrator

 

Summary of the Position and Basic Assignment:

The role of the Blackbaud/Convio DBA is to maintain and help develop the Blackbaud/Convio CRM in a systematic and process oriented way to grow EIF's overall constituent database, better communicate to this database, and in general mine the data in a true donor services manner. This role requires close collaboration with Digital Team, operations team and finance team to insure CRM development best serves EIF's overall needs and objectives. The DBA will report to the Technology Director with dotted line report to Operations.  This is a new internal role for the organization therefore proven successful experience building a new role is highly desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refinement of CRM processes including rework of constituent groups, finance reconciliations and donor greeting series
  • Management of security categories
  • Ensure data integrity
  • Support CRM users
  • Staff training on Blackbaud Luminate Online and Luminate CRM
  • Refine existing CRM reporting and campaign structures
  • Maintenance of CRM pages/forms
  • Creation of new CRM pages/forms
  • Organization of CRM pages/forms across initiatives 
  • Work on internal project tool database elements as needed
  • Maintain and modify donation forms as needed
  • Email planning and execution
  • Reporting on ROI for CRM related activities e.g. Email campaigns
  • Work with Digital Program Managers with campaign related reporting
  •  Act as escalation point for donor related data issues
  • TeamRaiser configurations

 

Key Qualifications:

 

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Blackbaud, Convio, SalesForce or other CRMs used in the non-profit sector and/or consumer media industry
  • Two years relevant experience in media or online technologies with non-profit a plus
  • Management skills preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a willingness to share information and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Strong multi-tasker who thrives on the ability to develop and guide multiple projects simultaneously through to successful completion
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
