Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary has a great opportunity for an organized and dedicated professional desiring to apply his/her expertise in assisting in the efforts to fund the institutional priorities of Austin Seminary by prioritizing donor prospects within the Raisers' Edge database. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive in initiating and providing donor and prospect information to support the Seminary's fund development efforts, has sharp instincts for relationships and their importance as it relates to fund development, and has a desire to work with a great team in a challenging yet supportive environment.

We need someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Training in Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge program required, certification helpful
  • 5 years of prospect research experience
  • the ability to hit the ground running
  • the ability to develop "best practices" for the management and use of prospect information and establish policies and procedures to preserve their effectiveness
  • the ability to prepare timely, clear, and concise reports, profiles, and briefing materials that support understanding of prospects' ability to give, relationship to the Seminary, and philanthropic interests
  • the ability to initiate categorizing of prospects according to Seminary priorities
  • the ability to maintain all departmental portfolios as defined
  • the ability to design and maintain a prospect management system, including contact and proposal tracking
  • the ability to prepare financial, statistical, and demographic reports as requested
  • the ability to run reports, queries, and utilities to monitor the accuracy of data stored in Raisers' Edge

Qualifications and Success Factors:

  • Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of prospect research .
  • Training in Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge program required, certification helpful.
  • Effective communications - excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on accurate data.
