Access to Raisers Edge for Visually Impaired

Tech support is telling me there is no way to enlarge items on my screen.  I have discovered myself that RE does not respond when I change the Display settings in Control Panel.   Hard to believe RE doesn't have accessibility features. I must be missing something.

 

Any suggestions?

I know this issue has been brought up before.  Unfortunately, I don't think you're missing anything.  Wish I had some suggestions.  It can be very frustrating to read some of the reports/pages etc. for those of us with 'aging eyes'.  Quite often I'd love to enlarge mine also.

 There's at least one suggestion on the discovery idea site pertaining to this - probably more.  Be sure to add your votes!!

Everything at uservoice.com moved to community.blackbaud.com, so the old links don't work.  But if you go to the "Ideas" tab at the top of the Community in the right-hand column there is a search box where you can find "Increase Display Size in RE" (I don't seem to be able to get a direct link for that specific item to post here).

Yes this would be tremendously helpful. I voted for the idea but won't hold my breath. I often times end up using the magnifying glass accessory on my pc, especially for copying constituent id's since you can't copy and paste !

Claudia, are you saying you can't copy a ConstID from a record to your computer's clipboard?  I think that's a setting somewhere, if that's what you are experiencing.  (Although I don't know where/how you change it.)

I swear this community forces us to be better ! So you said that and last night I'm routing around on my laptop in knowledgebase articles and still can't find anything and have convinced myself that its not on the bio one tab because it was not configured that way when it was set up. We do have an ID number but its from our old database that was used during transfer. Then it dawns on me it wasn't "configured" that way. The configuration tab and viola, there's the constituent id and the option to show it on the bio 1 tab.


You saved me some sanity!

Claudia, glad you got your issue 'unhidden.' I thought you were referring to the Import ID which seems to only be visible when viewing properties. There have been times when I have wished that one could be copied and  pasted. Wish that one was available as it's much longer - I've learned though that all I usually need to pay attention to is the last 4 digits for our structure.

Yes, import id's are a bear. It would be nice if they were more easily accessible for copy paste.
