165 8th Street  STATUS: Non-Union, Exempt Employee  SALARY: DOE Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:  Responsible for maintaining development donor database under the direction of the Director of Development. Responsibilities also include updating and maintaining agency website. Working with Department's communications calendar, maintain ECS's online presence through various social media outlets and monthly email newsletters. Maintain ECS's brand and provide graphical support to the agency as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, database administration, administrative and clerical functions, social media posts and outreach, special project and event support. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.       Process all donations utilizing Raiser's Edge fundraising database software; produce donation acknowledgments on a daily basis, maintain and update donor records. Update acknowledgment letter language on a quarterly basis.2.       Create and maintain log of monthly donors and process on-line giving regularly, including entry in database and acknowledgement. Conduct donor stewardship with gift acknowledgement phone calls and other follow-up as needed.3.       Maintain donor database, generate donor reports as needed. Maintain files for major donors, special events, foundation and corporate donors.4.       Provide support and documentation to Finance department regarding donations and donors, assist with reconciliation of contributed and in-kind donations.5.       Design and program additional reports to meet the information needs of the department.6.       Provide support for mailings and publications. Complete word processing and data management aspects of mailings and publications as needed, including export of mailing lists in formats suitable for merge or use by a mail house, mail merge and production and assembly of in-house personalized mailings.7.       Maintain ECS's online presence through our social media outlets. These include but are not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Flickr. Monitor the Facebook page daily to ensure comments are appropriate. Respond to fan comments. Increase visibility on partner agency Facebook pages; develop strategies for increasing the number of Facebook likes. Generate Facebook page banners and rotate on a regular basis. Connect to partner agencies and other relevant entities on Twitter and Tweet about ECS news and activities daily. Monitor Yelp reviews for appropriateness.  Upload photos to Flickr and periodically submit to Flickr community groups and sets. Upload ECS videos to YouTube. Encourage coworkers to maintain their LinkedIn profiles and their professional connections to ECS.8.       Design and distribute monthly email newsletters. Maintain e-newsletter subscriber list.9.       Photograph volunteer and program activities across all agency sites.10.   Maintain ECS media library, including photographs, videos, and audio. Photograph ECS events and activities. Responsible for maintaining a photo library for use in online and printed materials. Responsible for obtaining photo releases, labeling photos, and organizing library.11.   Maintain technical and digital equipment for use by the Development Department, including but not limited to connectivity adapters, digital cameras, and tripods and stands.

12.   Edit and manipulate media with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other digital image editors, digital video editors, and digital audio editors.

13.   Maintain the quality of the ECS logo across the agency. Ensure the correct usage of color, dimensions, arrangement, and accompanying fonts. Further maintain the quality of the ECS logo when in use by other organizations.14.   Support and supervise volunteer personnel utilized for specific tasks.  Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent development and database management experience.
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or Salesforce database is required.
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work at the computer terminal for extended periods of time. 
  • Professional telephone manner, ability to interact with donors and others in a comfortable and professional manner.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials professionally and according to agency policy.
  • Well versed in the area of social media, able to lead team in its use.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office for Windows programs; Adobe Photoshop.
  • Excellent verbal skills and written communications skills
  • Is a team player and interested in the field of fund development.
Other: Must secure figure image screening and annual TB screening as a condition of employment. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position, which may include long periods of sitting at a desk and/or computer station; lifting items that weigh up to 40 pounds; and reaching, bending, and stooping within the daily routine of task and activities.
