The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia seeks a Development Data and Membership Assistant  who is responsible for processing, fulfilling and acknowledging gifts, including memberships, received by the Morris Arboretum in the Raiser's Edge database. This includes preparation of accurate gift transmittals and other documentation sent to Gifts Administration to ensure gifts are correctly recorded and receipted in Atlas, the University's development database. Customer service to members, donors, and internal customers is also a function of the position.



The successful candidate will have database and gift processing experience, with a strong preference to those who have experience using Raiser's Edge.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing, acknowledging and fulfilling gifts made online, by phone, on-site, or via the mail in Raiser's Edge and in Atlas; processing, acknowledging and fulfilling memberships and processing event registrations in Raiser's Edge; providing excellent customer service in person and via phone and email; electronically transferring constituent information between databases using imports and exports and assisting with reconciliation between databases; regularly updating constituent records from returned mail and NCOA reports; general administrative tasks. Occasional night and weekend work required.
