Can RE automatically recognize Recurring Donors in Batch?

Currently, we use Importomatic to import online gifts from Blackbaud Sphere/Kintera. Gifts are placed into a batch, but on the 1st of each month, recurring donors are lumped in with all the other donations. If we don't comb through all the donations for our recurring donors, their gift may not be applied to their recurring gift. Is there a way to automate this process? We're growing out our recurring donation program, so this would be really helpful.

    If these donors have a 'recurring gift' on their record, have you tried checking the boxes on the batch commit/validation pop up screens to "Automatically apply gifts to pledges and recurring gifts" and if needed the sub box for "Only apply gifts to pledges and recurring gifts with the same fund(s)".

    I don't import online gifts but I would think this would work.   You could ask support if you don't get definitive replies here.  Just a thought....

     I import online gifts from Sphere through the RE/Sphere plugin just like I do for NetCommunity. I also generate a batch of recurring gifts on the 1st and 15th of each month. I have never seen any crossover. Unless I'm misunderstanding the question, which is very possible.
