Job Title: Foundation Data Analyst Reports to: Director, Development Operations Summary of Position: Performs various duties related to the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of the Foundation database, Raiser's Edge. Job duties and responsibilities center on data acquisition, extraction, analysis and maintenance, and can include compiling mailing lists, writing queries, writing and running reports, creating dashboards, training on database functions, entering data, etc. The Foundation Data Analyst must understands database relational functionality, and be able to create queries and reports and be able to analyze data into meaningful outcomes. The Data Analyst should have fluent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and some HTML knowledge to help with the Foundation website and other on-line applications. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, administrative and time management skills to coordinate a multitude of activities and responsibilities while establishing timetables to meet strict deadlines, multi-task and prioritize workloads. The candidate should be able to handle multiple priorities concurrently and maintain poise and flexibility when faced with change. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Formal Education Required: a. Associate degree in business, information technology, communication, or related field b. Bachelors' degree and/or commensurate experience in information technology, business, communications, or related field of study preferred. 2. Experience & Training Required: a. Three to five years experience working with data management b. Raiser's Edge, or similar database system, experience with a strong knowledge of Raiser's Edge 7 architecture and capabilities. c. Experience in and understanding of the fundraising process supporting major gift, annual fund and planned giving programs. d. Ability to develop process or direct solicitation, preferably in a non-profit environment. e. Crystal Reports preferred. f. Experience with using Microsoft Excel and/or Access. Microsoft certification a plus. Typing proficiency of 50 WPM. 3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Ability to interact face-to-face and via telephone conversation with a diverse demographic population. b. Desire to work to achieve the donor intent and to assist with Foundation development team in securing, retaining or recovering donor gifts. c. Ability to perform in a collaborative team environment. d. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information, donor records and other confidential Foundation records. e. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity 4. Level of Physical Demands: a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
