The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) is a dynamic performing arts center located in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City. BAC serves artists and audiences through an annual series of public presentations and a residency program. BAC seeks a PT Raiser's Edge Database Administrator whose responsibilities will be to provide critical support to the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director of Development by managing all aspects of the Raiser's Edge database.

 

The successful candidate will be a positive, self-managed individual and team player, with a strong work ethic. He or she must be adaptable, organized, and capable of maintaining keen attention to detail in an environment with competing priorities. The ability to analyze and synthesize information between different organizational areas is key.

 

The PT Raiser's Edge Database Administrator will report to the Director of Development. The hours of the position will be between 10am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. The Administrator will work approximately 20 hours per week, on a mutually agreed upon schedule that may change over time due to institutional activity. Compensation is $23.00 per hour.

 

Core Responsibilities

   

-Managing BAC's relationship with Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge, including implementing upgrades and enhancements on an as-needed basis;

-Maintaining and updating new and existing constituent and event records, including: inputting constituent data as well as creating/running constituent reports and mailing lists;

-Coordinating data with other systems, such as Constant Contact and OvationTix, including import/export between external systems;

-Conducting fiscal administration for all gift contributions. This includes: tracking and inputting gifts; creating and running fiscal reports, including the creation of targeted queries; and assistance with gift acknowledgment;

-Creating and documenting procedures for Raiser's Edge data maintenance to ensure integrity;

-Providing formal/ad-hoc training for staff on an as-needed basis; and

-Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

-3-5 years experience with the Raiser's Edge database environment;

-Strong knowledge of database best practices and procedures;

-3-5 years experience in a non-profit organization, preferably within the cultural sector, including an understanding of non-profit fundraising, marketing and general business practices;

-Knowledge of and interest in the performing arts preferred;

-Strong communication, organization, and writing skills;

-Fluency in Microsoft Office / Windows and Mac platforms.
