The Database & Research Manager is responsible for information services and gift processing. Using Blackbaud's hosted application of Raiser's Edge will maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of constituent and donor records. Responsible for the orderly and timely processing and receipting of contributions to the organization. Manage all aspects of constituent research and provide information analysis to key staff members in support of prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation, personal visits, events, volunteer leadership opportunities and special projects. Move constituent research from a reactive to a proactive system of workflow. Responsible for the receipting, accounting, reporting, and acknowledgement of gifts, pledges and invoicing.Coordinate day-to-day Raiser's Edge database functions.Work closely with Accounting Department to ensure smooth interfacing with Financial Edge.Reconcile monthly and year-end gift records with Accounting Office.Implement a tracking system for major prospects. Mange prospect tracking and reporting system.Provide analysis, research and prospect data for development staff. Organize and conduct regular assessment meetings with senior management to assist in determining prospects' readiness for solicitation, appropriate solicitation range, and best solicitor.Track and report on useful performance measures to monitor productivity of development staffRun, maintain, and develop reports, and queries to monitor the integrity of data stored in Raiser's Edge.Develop and generate reports, nametags, track attendance for events driven through Net Solutions.Develop and generate reports and dashboards in support of development objectives.Perform year-end data processes and software modifications and updates as requiredKnowledge of Raiser's Edge, databases and electronic records; knowledge of donor giving records and related reporting; knowledge of prospect research techniques; data management and process management skill; strong technical skills with understanding of data structures and relational databases; ability to design meaningful reports and presentations based on data Interpersonal communication skills. Analytical and problem solving, time management, prioritization, planning, and organizational skills. Specialist proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Raiser's Edge, and Windows operating systems. Customer-focused and professional manner in dealing with both internal and external customers.Strong organizational skills, with attention to deadlines and detail. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS or equivalent combination of education/ experience in development.
