Supports the mission of Regis Jesuit High School and the Advancement Office.   Serves as the Raiser's Edge database manager and point-person on all other organizational databases.  Implement stewardship and acknowledgement strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with donors.  Provide research, reports and donor relations support for the Advancement team. This is a full-time, year-round, hourly position with benefits and vacation as described in the HR Guidebook. Employment is at-will.

 

Essential Job Functions



Raiser's Edge Database Administration and Reporting:

  • Provide database administration to ensure the Raiser's Edge database supports the transactional and informational needs of the Advancement Office to include interface with related systems: EE, Financial Edge, and Net Community.
  • Ensure the data entry, gift processing, tracking, reporting, and acknowledgement of Advancement activities, programs and gifts are performed according to department, school and process standards.
  • Ensure deposits and recording of gifts are performed according to department, school and process standards.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office to ensure appropriate gift entry and accuracy of information in Raiser's Edge, to include data entry for constituent records, coding, and sign-up requests through Net Community.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of reports for  Advancement Office and others as assigned
  • Administer security and perform global changes to RE database.
Prospect Research:
  • Conduct research on individual prospects through data mining, electronic screening, prospect search engines on the web.
  • Provide service and research needs to the Gift Team. 
Advancement/School Operations:
  • Participate in and contribute to Advancement Office planning and program evaluation process departmental meetings, requested activities, and evaluations.
  • Contribute to the school and Advancement Office budgeting process for Advancement activities.
  • Build and run queries, exports, analysis reports, appeals lists, and electronic mailing lists for the Advancement operations and the school as assigned.
  • Supervise data entry and assist when necessary.
  • Support, cross-train and inform staff around data entry, data management, and other database issues and processes.
  • Create standard operating procedures for maintaining Advancement information, data and all functions of Raiser's Edge.
  • Serve as a contact person, in cooperation with I.T. and the school's Database Manager, with school's data software/technology vendors to troubleshoot issues and to manage updates and improvements related to the databases and coordinate internal meetings, as necessary to identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise around integrated databases.
  • Supervise gift entry and deposits and assist when needed.
  • Administer website address changes into Raiser's Edge.
  • Monitor prospect management.  Work with Major Gifts Officers with their prospecting.
  • Monitor, track and report on project income and pledge reminders.  Track and updates the processes and procedures of the department.
  • Create, identify and implement methods to promote matching gift program and education.
  • Participates in special projects and works as a member of interdepartmental teams to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department.
  • Assists in the work of other departments within the school as directed by supervisor and balanced with the position's workload, goals and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
 

Requirements (Education, Experience, Required/Preferred Skills)
  • Ability to use and manage Blackbaud Raiser's Edge (RE) software.  RE experience is preferred but similar database experience will suffice.
  • Ability to use and manage auction software.  Auction Maestro software experience is preferred but similar database experience will suffice.  
  • Knowledge of non-profit organizations
  • Possess a high level of organizational skills ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong personal communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work in a professional environment.
  • Strong PC skills: proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to provide concise, accurate and professional reports.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
