 Position Introduction

 

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and outgoing professional to fill the role of Data Analyst.  This position falls under the Office of Development.  

The Data Analyst is responsible for implementing strategies to maintain the integrity of the Development database. This position will oversee the capturing of information from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, individual parish datasets, information garnered from donor pledge cards, updates received from data screenings, and information obtained from the Development staff.  This position will assure that consistent data standards are followed in the Development database

Essential Functions:

1.  Capture new data:  Implement the process of comparing data from parish datasets and importing updates and new parishoner data.  Imports new data captured through the in-pew and direct mail process.

2.  Demonstrate outstanding communication skills to translate reporting requests in order to accurately meet the actual information and deadline needs of users.

3.  Coordinates and develops various reports for multiple campaigns using Raisers Edge, Excel and MS Access.

4.  Monitor data to assure data standards are maintained:  Perform a regular audit of existing data to identify inaccurate or non-standardized data elements.  Resolve identified errors.

5.  Process gifts and pledges:  During heavy gift processing periods, accurately process new pledge, gift and pledge payment transactions.  Perform imports from bank and reconcile bank and development data.

6.   Work with the Systems Analyst to oversee routine reporting functions.  Ensure reports are run and delivered to the appropriate audience in accordance with predetermined schedules.  Develop standardized reports to describe status of fund raising programs.   Process ad-hoc report requests from within the Advancement Office and fulfill requests in an accurate and timely manner.

7.  Design and implement e-blasts requests using Raisers Edge Spark.

8.  Other duties as assigned.
