Widener University's Office of Development is currently seeking candidates for an Associate Director of Data Services vacancy to be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the University Advancement database (Raiser's Edge), which tracks contributions, alumni, donor, and prospect information. The Associate Director also oversees the data integration between Raiser's Edge (RE) and iModules, which is the platform for the give.widener.edu website. This position will provide training support and technical customer service in the RE database, including reports, lists, gift processing, information integrity, and data transfers. The position also ensures that the iModules database effectively captures alumni and donor information residing in Raiser's Edge and translates any updated information from iModules back into RE.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years power-user work experience within the nonprofit organization environment; Experience successfully working in team environment; Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; Must have a strong customer service orientation; Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. This position requires comfort and effectiveness translating between end user needs and database output. Must be able to accurately translate end user requests into effective queries and reports. Expected to utilize most primary office software packages, including MS Excel, Word and Access.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience managing development and/or alumni databases and are Certified in the Raiser's Edge and/or proven track record in iModules. Skill in making presentations and training individuals in software applications is highly desirable.
