The Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Data / Records Specialist for the Office of Development Services.  This is a full-time position and will participate as a professional member of the Development Services staff.  Under the direction of the AVP, Development Services will be responsible for the database updates and cleanup projects, large mailing lists data pull projects, data exports and other assignments as requested.







Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure and maintain the highest standards of data integrity for alumni, donor and constituent records set by AVP, Development Services
  • Provide database support for all fundraising activities including annual fund campaigns, alumni and special events, and other Development Office campaigns
  • Primary liason with university departments on matters relating to records management and will be responsible for monitoring quality control of the information being entered in the Development Information System including the scanning and attachment of electronic documents
  • Assist AVP, Development Services in developing and implementing proactive strategies to constantly improve the integrity of data in the Development Information System.
  • Develop reports and statistics to monitor data integrity, database changes, address accuracy, and interrelationships of data
  • Create, develop and maintain operational database reports
  • Work with the Annual Fund, University Relations and Development to coordinate and develop mailings list projects
  • Write database queries, pull lists and report
  • Complete a large number of different projects simultaneously which necessitates that a large and complex amount of information be assimilated with consistent attention to detail being made in addition to being provided in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all Office of Development / Development Services' policies and procedures



Education / skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience
  • Must have experience with Raiser's Edge and similar donor information system
  • Demonstrated experience with standard software applications, including MS Excel, Windows
  • Results and service-oriented attitude with special attention to responding timely with accuracy and precision
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills, an inquisitive nature and a track record of creative problem solving
  • Excellent project management skills

 

* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
