 Devereux's Corporate Development Office has an immediate opening for a National Director, Database Management, Donor Research and Development Support, reporting to the Senior Vice President of External Affairs, with a primary focus on management of the national donor database, donor research, finance liaison and general fundraising support. This individual will manage the national donor database using Raiser's Edge, lead the effort of major donor research and the stewardship of all charitable contributions and represent Devereux at events and meetings assisting with special event and fundraising campaign management. The successful candidate will manage the organization's donor and prospect information database, including training in skills development and the use of the database by all necessary center and corporate staff, working collaboratively with the Senior Vice President for External affairs in strategic planning, budgeting and goal setting for the development functions for Devereux. This person will also be responsible for creation of Development reports and work with Devereux's Centers in general fundraising account management as well as liaison with Finance to ensure the management and reconciliation of gifts and be an integral member of the development/fundraising team.    About Devereux and the Development OfficesDevereux's Development Office is based in Villanova, PA.  The position will provide support for all Devereux Centers and the Corporate Office.   1. Work collaboratively with the Senior Vice President of External affairs in developing, planning and executing development activities, that support the organization's strategic plan;
  2. Serve as central coordinator of documentation for all donor/prospect information including original entry, updating, extracting for reporting and/or cultivation efforts and file maintenance;
  3. Identify and organize opportunities to build databases that will broaden level of support. Collect, interpret and analyze data and apply results;
  4. Ensure the integrity and security of data, troubleshooting Raiser's Edge or other software related problems and establish organizational understanding of the value, content and confidentiality of donor records;
  5. Provide on-going training and technical assistance, research and guidance to Corporate and Center Development staff regarding all matters relating to the donor database. Foster effective sharing of information and tools for stewardship and knowledge;
  6. Manage collection and reporting systems; Identify and organize opportunities to build the email and other databases to broaden level of support and increase personal involvement in solicitation by volunteers and family members;
  7. Assist Senior Vice President for External Affairs by identifying prospects, researching support given to other organizations and examining past records;
  8. Collect, analyze and summarize data from annual fund efforts and strategize methods to upgrade response rates and average gift amounts;
  9. Work with Development team in  prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship practices
  10. Liaison with Information Resources and Finance in tracking, correcting and monitoring software performance and credibility;
  11. Provide guidance and support for Center and Corporate Special events which impact Development functions; Assist in development of collateral; 
  12. Act as integral member of the fundraising team and actively leads and engages in fundraising on behalf of organization.
 Requirements:
  1. Bachelors degree in Business, Development or other related field;
  2. Minimum of   five  years experience in development-related work, preferably in not-for-profit, health care or social services arena, including  five years of experience managing customer support and report development in a complex business environment;
  3. Extensive Raiser's Edge experience required;
  4. Experience in database management with database and spreadsheet applications;
  5. Demonstrated ability to provide consultative services to Corporate and Center Management and Development staff;
  6. Technical training in Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Internet Applications and/or Public Relations strongly encouraged;
  7. Ability to work with constantly changing priorities and multi-tasker;
  8. Strong communication and organizational skills
