Northern Virginia Family Service, located in Oakton, VA is looking for a Donor Database Administrator.

The Donor Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all donor information as well as the consistency and accuracy of donor mailings. As such, the DBA will be responsible for all data inputs and outputs including: gift processing (entering and maintaining accurate gift and donor records), conducting financial reporting and reconciliation, creating all necessary queries and reports to analyze performance of various fundraising initiatives and manage vendor relationships associated with data/donation collection and processing.  The DBA proactively engages with donors to assess their needs and advises the Development and Communications team on how to best address the needs of each segment of supporters.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor information using Raiser's Edge donor database
  • Work collaboratively with Chief Development Officer and Director of Development to assess research priorities and strategies in campaign efforts; provide input concerning online activities, growth, projections, and analysis of donation trends; participate in strategic discussions on agency communications in order to increase donor base
  • Manage the targeted and monthly appeal process and maintain the department appeal schedule
  • Produce necessary information and lists, donor reports, and fundraising analyses
  • Execute online donor registration activities ensuring implementation of campaign strategies
  • Generate and analyze reports to formulate a recognition strategy that supports department activities and events in accordance with Donor Acknowledgement Standards; maximize data resources, track donor trends and provide analysis to assess best level of engagement with donors
  • Provide timely follow-through communication with donors such as receipt information, pledge reminders, and event-related invoices
  • Conduct confidential donor and/or prospect research for new funding sources, using approved methods and public sources of information
