Development Associate/Annual Fund:


The Development Associate supports the Director of the Annual Fund by performing administrative functions including data entry, mail merges, event thank you letters, phonathon gift reminders/acknowledgements, commemorative gift process and other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Accurately enter prospect and donor data into Raiser's Edge database.
  2. Generate gift acknowledgement letters.
  3. Oversee mass mailings including running mail merges, generating letters, envelopes and labels and schedule volunteers to assist.
  4. Manage commemorative gift plaque/brick ordering process.
  5. Process phonathon pledge acknowledgements and 30/60/90 day reminders.
  6. Assist with financial reports and budget.
  7. Schedule meetings and maintain calendar.
  8. Proofread letters, collateral materials and other documents.
  9. Assemble supplementary materials for proposals and meetings.
  10. Answer phone and set-up appointments.
  11. Coordinate meetings (e.g. scheduling food service, booking rooms and technology, etc).
  12. Manage stock of development-related collateral materials.
  13. Assist with general organization of departmental files and office spaces.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

 

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  2. Previous administrative experience, interest in development activities, and a desire to pursue a career in the non-profit sector preferred.
  3. High energy and positive attitude.
  4. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  5. Excellent writing and research skills.
  6. Strong verbal communications skills, phone skills.
  7. Well-organized and able to manage details efficiently.
  8. Ability to work both independently and with supervision.
  9. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  10. Proficiency in Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

 

 

 

Salary Range $35,000-$45,000
