Req ID 5462 - NAT - TFT Position Title Coordinator, Fund Development Employee Group Full Time Term Contract Hours Per Week 37.5 Program or Dept. Fund Development Job Summary The Coordinator, Fund Development (FDC) is an integral member of the Fund Development Team. Their position plays a key role in helping VON reach its fundraising goals and provides database management and administrative support for national VON Fund Development. This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave and is anticipated to be one-year in length. Responsibilities Performs all Raiser's Edge (RE) administration and supervisory functions, including database maintenance, security set-up, duplicate record merging, clean-up tasks, and quality control audits; Develops and maintains national policy and procedure manual for database management and provides staff across Canada with training and knowledge of the proper use of the database systems; Provides RE technical support to all RE users in addition to working with IT Department to troubleshoot problems and conduct regular maintenance and upgrades; Coordinates the internal components of the national annual campaign, including direct mail, phone programs, solicitations, online giving, prospect research and tracking as well as special projects and capital projects; Coordinates the generation of financial, analytical, statistical, and demographic reports, as well as recognition lists and other data extractions, as requested; Maintains donor electronic and paper records and ensures accurate, timely donor acknowledgements; Composes drafts of correspondence to donors, volunteers and others as required and responds to administrative donor issues by phone/email/mail; Assists in the implementation of online giving strategies; Provides assistance on select events, as needed; Retains current knowledge of emerging giving trends in Fundraising and Database Management; Other responsibilities, as required. Qualifications High school education or GED is required Advanced knowledge and professional experience using The Raiser's Edge Knowledge and professional experience in fundraising and not-for-profit sector A minimum of three (3) years experience in database management Understanding of fundraising principles, CRA rules/regulations and best practices in gift acknowledgment and tracking Ability to interact with the public in a respectful manner Attention to detail a must Criminal background check will be requested Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Attention to Detail; Lift and carry using appropriate lifting techniques; Bend, push, pull, grip, reach, kneel, crouch using good body mechanics; Walk sit, stand, climb stairs; Repetitive fine hand movements.
