From one Non-profit to Another

Options

Hello, I've had this question for a long time and decided to finally get the correct answer.  I include tax wording on everything just to be safe.  But, when one non-profit foundation gives a grant to a non-profit organization, do we need to include tax wording in our thank you letter?

Laurie, Saw your post last week.  Waiting to see if you got replies.  [:)]

I've also had the question.  Like you we include tax wording on most everything except when told don't need to receipt - which is usually from a non-profit agency passing money through to us. But many foundations that give ask for the tax statement - so I would need more info on each one to know if they were a non-profit or not.

I don't have a documented answer for you.  Someone may still respond or take your question to www.fundsvcs.org  - deals with fundraising in a much broader scope than just RE.
