Position Summary The Donor Relations Specialist in the Donor Relations and Gift Operations Department's primary responsibility lies in the handling of donor and missionary questions, problems and complaints via verbal and written correspondence. Primary contact for Missionaries and staff with donation related questions. Assist with entering, updating, and verifying donor database information and support the Manager of Service Operations with special projects as needed. Assure office equipment and related supplies are maintained and in stock at all times. Duties Include: Field donor-related questions by phone, email, or in-person. Handle special letters: memorials, matching gifts, donation processing issues and donor complaints. Coordinate response to donor, missionary, and staff inquiries when needed Maintain working relationship with all department to ensure adequate interdepartmental relationships and communication. Collect, open, and sort mail at least once a day. Participate in Daily Mail Opening procedures in conjunction with Finance Department. Pull daily acknowledgement files and print receipt letters. Ability to perform all duties of the Data Processing Technician position Other duties as required. Working Conditions May require working a flexible schedule. Work performed in an environment with demanding timelines, shifting priorities and constant interruptions in work is routine. Minimum Qualifications: 2 Year degree. One to two years' experience in related field. Ability to speak and write the English language with professional level skill is required. The individual must show respect for other employees, associates, clients, and the goals and objectives of The Fellowship of Catholic University Students Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, customer service, database knowledge & direct mail experience. Ability to communicate verbally over the phone Ability to navigate technology and it's use within the office and its role in supporting FOCUS' mission Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required. Ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, sometimes while under high levels of pressure and stress, while remaining responsive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently. Once trained, must be able to perform duties with greater than 99% accuracy rate.
