Querying Constituent Codes

Options

Hi all,

I am completely cleaning up and revamping our constituency codes.  I understand how to build a query and export the number of codes that I want to show, but is there a way to have a query simply show results in columns like below.  So many of our constituents have multiple codes and I want to be able to edit them individually with ease.  If I export, I have to flip back and forth.

Name      Primary Code      Code1     Code2     Code3    Code4

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't think you can get the query format you're looking for.

The closest thing you could get would be something like:

Name  Primary Code   Code 1 (which essentially is primary code)

    Name  Primary Code   Code 2

    Name  Primary Code   Code 3

etc with record listed with as many lines as record has codes

An alpha sort of name at least puts all the codes for one group together but  the codes don't seem to list necessarily in the same order they are on the record so that makes it really difficult to clean up.

Wish there was a different answer for you.

     Joanie,

You could save the query and then use an export to have separate columns for each constituent code. Knowledgebase article BB163016 gives some more specific details on this, but it saves the trouble of having several rows for each constituent like you get in the Query results tab.

     Hope this helps,
