Total Gifts per constituent per fiscal year

I need a report that lists each constituent that gave last fy and the total amount given ( I do NOT want each gift listed individually). I also need to determine how much each constituency code gave per fiscal year. For example: we have adoptee, adoptive parent, adoptive relative, etc. I have ran 2 statiscal reports to determine the percent of total given last fy but the two reports have differing info. I should note some constituents could be an adoptee AND adoptive parent.  HELP!

Jamie, you have a lot of specifics that are hard to address without knowing how you enter data. 

The list of donors for fy and amount can be done fairly easily using query/export.  For query and export, use summary information (near bottom of criteria options) to get a total amount given - Summary Information> Summary for Gift>Total Amount of Gifts.

If donor A is an adoptee and adoptive parent where do you plan to count the $? If you run separate reports for each constit code, you will get money listed twice if it's just that the record has that code.   Do you need to run a separate query for records with both so you can split the amount?

Am guessing you can't just count primary constituency code.  Did you give each gift a constituency (gift record, miscellaneous tab)?  If so, you could easily get a total amount for gifts with that constituency using a query. 

You could try a pivot report using a query of the gifts including output of constituency codes. Not sure if will get you what you want.
