Position Title: Development Database Coordinator

Reports to: Development Services & Prospect Manager

Location: Boston, MA

Position Grade: 9

 

Position Summary

The Development Database Coordinator oversees and manages the council's fundraising and donor database (Raiser's Edge) and related systems, and is responsible for data entry functions supporting all aspects of the organization's Fund Development program. Work includes continuous improvement by developing and implementing new policies and procedures for the systems.

 

The Development Database Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of donor data and the donor database, developing effective reporting strategies in support of Fund Development goals, leading database cleanup and analysis projects, communicating about database issues effectively within the organization, and providing staff training on processes and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Manages gift processing, tracking and acknowledgment process, including timely entry of all gifts into donor database; tracks and reports on contribution and pledge payments.

2. Ensures production of pledge reminders, and timely drafting and production of acknowledgments and gift receipts.

3. Coordinates with Finance to ensure reconciliation of gift information; provides updated financial and recurring gift reports as requested; produces fundraising management reports.

4. Manages the event registration process for large and small scale fundraising events; attends fundraising and occasional program events.

5. Responsible for coordination of bulk imports of new records/data from other databases and sources, e.g. membership data and online registration donations.

6. Assists with stewardship activities, events, mailings and other duties as requested.
