Delivering both tuition-based and free outreach programs, Arts Umbrella touches the lives of 20,000 children a year. Programs range from general to pre-professional courses in theatre, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, film, photography, media arts and more.

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, the Database Administrator is responsible for managing the fundraising database through Raiser's Edge, and supporting the fundraising team with training, data entry, and report creation. She or he ensures receipting guidelines, privacy act policies, and other legal requirements are met. This position prepares donor receipts and acknowledgement letters as well as setting up and managing donation and event registration pages in Spark. The Database Administrator analyzes database trends and information that can advance Arts Umbrella's fundraising effectiveness and researches and implements new database software and applications.

 

The ideal candidate must have advanced knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Crystal Reports, and NetCommunity Spark and solid experience managing projects independently. She or he would be detail-oriented and extremely organized, as well as being a self-starter, creative thinker, and confident professional.   We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers effectively.  A post-secondary degree/diploma, three to five years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred.
