Full-time Monday through Friday (7.5 hours/day) with an occasional evening or weekend day FortWhyte Alive is renowned as a dynamic, privately operated, non-profit facility offering three main program streams throughout its 640-acre landscape: environmental education; outdoor recreation; and, social enterprise. We are seeking an energetic, results-oriented individual to play a key role on the Development team. Reporting to, and working closely with the Director of Business Development, this individual will support Executive Staff with general administration, and provide key support and donor stewardship for the Development program. The candidate will also coordinate FortWhyte Alive's multi-faceted membership program and services. Position Summary: The Development and Membership Administrator provides key administrative support and donor stewardship for FortWhyte Alive's development program in addition to general administrative support as noted. This individual also coordinates FortWhyte Alive's multi-faceted membership program and services. Principal Areas of Responsibilities Donor Administration, Stewardship and Recognition: 50% ? Keep up-to-date in Raiser's Edge database management system by upgrading knowledge ? Maintain database system for recording FortWhyte Alive donors ? Create database reports as needed ? Export and generate monthly and annual financial reports for Accounting Department ? Assist with implementation and follow up (tracking, reporting) to fundraising campaigns ? Coordinate and issue donation thank you letters and tax receipts as needed ? Support staff as needed on the database system ? Protect confidential information ? Ensure accurate and timely upkeep of donor recognition systems including the Donor Wall, tribute orchard and boardwalk plaques, commemorative benches, Life donor list and website ? Update, replenish and organize development collateral material on shelving unit ? Respond to donor inquiries regarding donor programs and opportunities i.e. tribute orchard, boardwalk plaques, foster program, in memoriam donations, etc. as needed ? Handle donor recognition and sponsor benefits such as complimentary passes and family memberships, etc. ? Coordinate mail solicitation campaigns as directed by Director of Development for individual and corporate donations including reminders to current donors, re-engagement of lapsed donors and the securing of new donors ? Assist the Development Team with Donor Appreciation or Cultivation Day(s) Member Services: 25% ? Oversee the membership process for both new and renewals, including on-line and complimentary ? Ensure delivery of FortWhyte member benefits including responding to inquiries and assist in development of new ones ? Update website to reflect membership promotions/changes as needed ? Cultivate relationships with individual members ? Maintain database and create reports re: membership statistics ? Oversee and provide support for weekly membership volunteers ensuring timely turnaround of membership information ? Compile lists for mailing house distribution (all contacts) for FortWhyte Life newsletter ? Contribute innovative ideas for recruiting new and retaining existing members and assist in implementation ? Liaise with Visitor Receptionist and Info Desk Volunteers regarding membership promotions ? Initiate, coordinate and host new member Welcome Events as well as develop and coordinate member Appreciation or Cultivation Day(s) Administration: 25% ? Administrative support for President, Director of Business Development and Director of Operations as needed ? Process and drop off outgoing mail ? Organize, monitor and replenish office supply stock and equipment as needed ? Monitor, renew, and review in consultation with Director of Operations office equipment leases as needed ?
