Families of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) is located in Elk Grove Village, IL. The organization funds and directs the leading SMA research programs to develop a treatment and cure for the disease. The successful results and progress that the organization has delivered, from basic research to drug discovery to clinical trials, provide real hope for families and patients impacted by the disease. The charity has invested over $55 million in research and has been involved in funding half of all the ongoing novel drug programs for SMA. Families of SMA is looking for a Blackbaud/Convio Luminate Specialist. This position is the primary business systems analyst and administrator, playing a pivotal role in supporting and growing the fundraising efforts at Families of SMA. The position consults with all business functions to manage, investigate, recommend, implement, and generate the tools, processes, data, reports, and training needed to enhance and grow each area of the business. It will manage all technical aspects of Families of SMA's business systems platform including its databases, websites, social and mobile, peer-to-peer fundraising, and electronic communications. The primary application suite is Blackbaud/Convio's Luminate including Luminate CRM and Luminate Online (Online, Team Raiser, and CMS). Initially, the position will also lead the project to convert our legacy systems to the Luminate suite. The ideal candidate has expertise in not-for-profit software applications and is effective in working with internal staff to make the most effective and efficient use of the applications in support of the business; a team player who can positively impact Families of SMA's operations through systems development, maintenance, reporting, and analysis.
