Database/Prospect Research Administrator - Edison NJ

Position Summary:  Reports to the Executive Director/President of the JFK Medical Center Foundation and, with minimal direction, serves as an integral member of the development program, with specific responsibilities to ensure the integrity, function and maintenance of the fund raising database system, Raiser's Edge. These responsibilities include: regular maintenance of all constituent records, prospect management, develop reports and provide assistance for staff within each program segment, design and implementation of standardized financial and prospect reports and design of new reports. Also responsible for leading the donor/prospect research effort. The Database/Prospect Research Administrator is also responsible for establishing and documenting "best practices" standards and policies for all areas of development services, including but not limited to: confidentiality standards, gift acceptance, gift processing and receipting, gift/donor related correspondence, data entry for gift information, biographical and wealth information, event tracking, records/constituent management and database upgrades.

 

Work Experience:

A minimum of three years experience in development or extensive experience in database management and information research. Must possess excellent research and writing skills, effective communication and organization skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree, Raiser's Edge training a plus

Technical / Equipment: Must be proficient in word processing, be familiar with database entry and be detail oriented with the ability to organize large amounts of data in a logical and useful manner.

Licensure / Certification / Special Skills: Must be knowledgeable in searching commercial on-line databases, internet websites, and other resource materials. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in obtaining and releasing confidential information.
