Position Summary

Support ongoing fundraising efforts of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation through the assistance in the execution of fulfillment operations relating to the Foundation's direct mail, major giving, planned giving and special development programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately record program contributions in development database
  • House batch data entry
  • House batch reporting
  • Distribution of contribution backup to appropriate parties
  • Retention of contribution backup
  • Assist with production activities, as directed, to support the in-house stewardship program
  • Assemble membership packages in concert with Development Services Coordinator's daily acknowledgement production
  • Package and mail contribution acknowledgments
  • Assist with processing of responses through DM program
  • Process address changes, deceased flags, solicitation flags, etc.
  • Assist with maintenance of the Engraved Brick program information as well as installation of bricks in Semper Fidelis Memorial Park
  • Package and mail brick acknowledgements and brick certificates
  • Produce change certificates in a timely fashion
  • Maintain records of submitted changes
  • Assist with response processing for the Planned Giving program
  • Route requests to appropriate parties
  • Respond to inquiries through the DM Program
  • Maintain hard copy records for the planned giving program per program guidelines
  • Assist with other special fundraising fulfillment activities, as assigned
  • Event production support
  • Tribute response processing
  • Screen incoming written correspondence and/or telephonic inquiries from constituents; prepare written and/or telephonic responses to inquiries both independently and in consultation with senior team members.
  • Supervise data-entry temp staff.
  • Provide lunch relief for reception desk as needed.
  • Assist Development Services Coordinator and Development Manager with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Working knowledge of The Raiser's Edge 7 or comparable database software

Strong written, verbal and customer service skills

Experience working in a non-profit or military organization preferred
