Overview:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Since 2002, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, CHAI (formerly the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative), has been assisting developing countries in implementing large-scale, integrated HIV care, treatment, and prevention programs.  CHAI is currently active in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Eastern Europe.  In support of national HIV/AIDS programs, CHAI provides technical assistance, mobilizes human and financial resources, and facilitates the sharing of best practices across projects. CHAI has also negotiated agreements with leading pharmaceutical companies that have lowered the cost of HIV/AIDS and malaria diagnostics and treatment in the developing world by 30-90%.  Our ultimate objectives are to make high-quality HIV/AIDS and malaria care and treatment available to all who need it, and to partner with governments and other stakeholders to strengthen healthcare systems and develop sustainable strategies to overcome obstacles to scale-up. Our analysts provide high-quality technical support to CHAI's government partners to address bottlenecks and strengthen systems that will enable greater numbers of patients to access treatment.Responsibilities:Provide robust data management and analytical support to the in-country team, and actively participate in structuring the analytical approach and problem solving in areas such as:Modeling current costs of providing key health interventions at the national and facility levelsUnderstanding current funding flows in the health sector, and modeling future trendsReviewing specific funding channels to understand flows and potential areas of inefficienciesModeling to assess potential for improved efficiency and effectiveness of health sector interventionsDevelop revenue projection models to assess potential for new, innovative financing mechanisms in the health sectorSupport design and implementation of long term financial sustainability plansQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Health, Business or a related field2+ years of working experienceVery strong quantitative skills, including significant experience working in ExcelStrong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong professional relationships with a range of StakeholdersExcellent organizational and problem solving skillsStrong communication skills, including the ability to prepare compelling presentationsAbility to multi-task and be effective in high-pressure situationsAbility to work independently on complex projects  Advantages:Understanding of donor funding mechanisms and processesExperience with working in health or HIV/AIDS-related issuesExperience working with governments and international partners in country
