CHAI has been working with the Government of India on the expansion of Pediatric Program since 2006 and spearheaded three major programs to strengthen home-based care and support for pediatric patients, sensitize clinicians across the country to improve testing and treatment of HIV symptoms in children and expand the Early Infant Diagnosis Program. CHAI has also been a major partner to the National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) in expanding the Pediatric ARV Program across India. CHAI is now poised to support NACO is expansion of the Treatment and Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission (PPTCT) and pediatric ARV program and in this context is looking for a Manager to lead the program.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Manager will, inter alia, include:Lead the development of state-specific strategies for roll out and scale up of the PMTCT program; assist in smooth and rapid adoption of Option B in the PMTCT program across all statesStrengthen linkage of PMTCT, Early Infant Diagnosis and Pediatraic Care, Support & TreatmentAnalyze and drive evidence based decision making for program planning; build capacity among NACO counterparts in use of data collection tools and data management best practices through training and mentoringDeveloping state specific training modules and implement capacity building strategies for each state; assist in PMTCT and National Rural Health Mission convergenceVisit the four states where PMTCT Option B has been rolled out to gather data, analyze the current supply chain processes and infirmities and support NACO Program Division Heads to effectively address gapsStrengthen data collection and forecasting process for the Pediatric Program at NACO. The intervention for the PEDS program by assessing the status of children tested positive, eligible for treatment, ever started on treatment and currently on treatment.Identify the missing linkages in pediatric line status data and devise initiatives to minimize loss in linkages especially the loss to follow-upCollaborate with the CHAI SCM team to roll-out SCM improvements in PMTC & pediatric supply chain at NACO.Collaborate with the CHAI Global HIV/AIDS team to implement best practices and initiatives in the India program and feed data and inputs for global decision making and planningServe as the key point of contact between CHAI and NACO for PMTCT and Pediatrics; manage and strengthen the relationship with NACO in these areasDefine CHAI's overall strategy within the program area, develop clear operational plans for execution, and continually identify opportunities for CHAI to add value and maximize impactEnsure execution of multiple strategies simultaneously, along aggressive timelinesDevelop, monitor, adapt and manage several projects simultaneouslyManage and coach teams to ensure everyone is working towards the same objectivesDevelop and manage detailed program budgetsLiaise closely with technical partners in government to monitor and evaluate interventions against objectives and targets, bringing in technical expertise when needed to ensure rapid implementationDevelop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in government, international partners, donors and NGOs, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort for treatment scale-upQualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public health, international development, or a related field3-5 years of professional experience in the private or public sector, with increasing levels of responsibility and including project management roles; experience in HIV/AIDS, HIV - PMTC, HIV - Pediatric Care & Support, Mother & Child Health will be a strong advantageStrong data management/excel skills; highly entrepreneurial and with strong self-motivationDemonstrated success in coordinating various stakeholders/interests and developing strong relationships in order to drive a program successfullyStrong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities, as well as creative thinking capabilitiesAbility to multi-task, set priorities, and be effective under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situationsAbility to work independently, flexibly and responsively, with a strong commitment to excellenceExcellent written and oral communications skills and a high degree of self-confidenceAbility to work in cross-functional teams and manage resourcesPlease apply directly at https://careers-chai.icims.com/jobs/3743/manager-–-pmtct-&-pediatrics/job
